The trailer promises an edge-of-the-seat narrative revolving around the life of the late revolutionary freedom fighter Sardar Udham Singh who assassinated the lieutenant governor of Punjab at the time of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar, Michael O’Dwyer.

Sardar Udham Singh, a gallant and patriotic man who fought selflessly and courageously against the British subjugation of India. The film focuses on the undeterred mission of Sardar Udham to avenge the lives of his beloved brethren who were brutally killed in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre of 1919.
This is the first time that Vicky Kaushal has collaborated with filmmaker Shoojit Sircar. Apart from Vicky, the film also features Shaun Scott, Stephen Hogan, Banita Sandhu, Kirsty Averton and Amol Parashar in key roles.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Vicky was supposed to reunite with his ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ director Aditya Dhar for ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ co-starring Sara Ali Khan. However, the project has reportedly got shelved.
Apart from ‘Sardar Udham’, Vicky will also be seen in Karan Johar’s period drama, ‘Takht’. The film boasts of an ensemble star cast that includes, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.
