Aryan Khan’s lawyer Mukul Rohatgi says NCB stretched the drugs case too far – Times of India


Aryan Khan was represented by former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi during the recent hearing wherein he was granted bail. Post the case, the senior advocate expressed that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) stretched the case way too far.

Speaking to India Today, the senior advocate stated that there was no proof of consumption, peddling, or carrying large amounts from Aryan Khan and that the NCB stretched it too face while trying to make it a case of commercial quantity. While speaking about the Sessions Court order, Mukul Rohatgi stated that the argument about conscious possession was stretched beyond a point to include people who were complete strangers to Aryan Khan.

On October3 Aryan Khan was arrested by the NCB after a drugs bust on luxury cruise. He was lodged at the Arthur Road jail and walked out on October 30. The Bombay High Court’s bail order mentioned 14 key points which included a PR Bond of Rs. 1 lakh. He was asked to submit his passport before the Special Court and that he cannot leave the country without prior permission from the Special Judge for NDPS at Greater Mumbai. Ever Friday, Aryan Khan will have to appear before the NCB at their Mumbai office. Aryan Khan has also been asked not to communicate with any co-accused involved directly or indirectly in similar activities and that he must not make any statement regarding the aforesaid proceedings pending before the Special Court in any form of media i.e. print media, electronic media etc. including social media.
