Rashmi Desai married her co-star Nandish Sandhu from the television show, on 12 February 2012, in Dholpur. In 2014, they separated, and in 2015, the couple filed for divorce after almost four years of marriage. The actress is widely known for portraying grey characters in television shows. Desai began her acting career with regional films where she appeared in an Assamese-language film titled ‘Kanyadaan’ in 2002.
