According to reports, the Bollywood star, who has a number of big-ticket Hollywood films to his name, will now star opposite Gerard Butler in the film ‘Kandahar‘, being directed by Ric Roman Waugh, who has previously directed films including ‘Angel Has Fallen’, ‘Felon’, ‘Greenland’ and the upcoming film with JK Simmons titled ‘National Champions’.
The film helmed by Waugh is based on the screenplay he developed with former military intelligence officer Mitchell LaFortune. The story is based on Mitchell’s experiences at the Defense Intelligence Agency in Afghanistan. The film’s shoot is expected to begin soon in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Fazal’s forthcoming Hollywood release ‘Death On The Nile’ which also stars Gal Gadot and Armie Hammer, is slated to release in February 2022.
