Has Nora Fatehi turned witness for the Enforcement Directorate in 200-crore extortion case against Sukesh Chandrasekhar? – Times of India


Nora Fatehi has been questioned on numerous occasions by the Enforcement Directorate in connection to the 200 crore money-laundering case involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The actress reportedly received several expensive gifts from the conman. In the latest development, India Today has stated that Nora will the prosecution’s witness in this case. Previously, it was reported that Nora admitted receiving a BMW sedan as a gift from Sukesh Chandrasekhar and that his wife Leena Maria Paul had gifted her Gucci bag and an iPhone as a ‘token of love’ from her husband.

A source informed IANS that Nora Fatehi stated during the the questioning ‘that the officials were free to seize the BMW car gifted to her by Sukesh Chandrasekhar’. The sources also said Jacqueline had also informed the same to the ED officials. “Jacqueline told us that she didn’t know the background of Sukesh Chandrashekhar and she was ready to cooperate with us in the process of seizing the gifts given to her by Sukesh,” said the source.

Previously, Nora Fatehi had issued a statement clarifying that she was not a part of the money laundering scam. “Nora Fatehi has been the victim around the case and being a witness, she is co-operating and helping the officers in the investigation. We would like to make it very clear that she has not been a part of any money laundering activity, she does not know or have any personal connection with the accused and has been called by the ED to strictly help with the investigation,” read a statement from her team.
