After introducing Govinda to the audience Ranveer called him his ‘God’. When the ‘Hero No.1’ actor entered the sets of the reality show Ranveer even laid at Govinda’s feet, holding onto them. Govinda was overwhelmed to see an emotional Ranveer.
The pair then danced to the hit songs like ‘Ishq Hai Suhana’, ‘UP Wala Thumka’ and some more. Ranveer also shared that he in fact learned to rap not during the ‘Gully Boy’ shooting but when he had heard the lyrics of Govinda’s song, ‘Stop That’, from the film ‘Gambler’. Govinda’s wife Sunita, daughter Tina and son Yashvardan Ahuja also took part in the show through video calls.
This is not the first time Ranveer has shown his admiration for Govinda. He has often called Govinda a ‘legend’. They, in fact, shared the screen in the 2014 film ‘Kill Dil’. Ranveer has also admitted that he has seen some of Govinda’s films more than 50 times and all his songs have inspired him.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh’s latest release ’83’ in which he plays the role of cricket icon Kapil Dev has been receiving rave reviews from critics and viewers alike. The Bollywood star has three more films in the pipeline – Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus’ and newbie Divyang Thakkar’s ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’.
