Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ Hindi remains steady with over Rs 67 crore business – Times of India

Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ (Hindi) continued with its winning streak at the box office. The film is already giving some tough competition to Ranveer Singh starrer ‘83’. Due to the rise in Covid cases, ‘Pushpa’ (Hindi) may not touch the coveted 100 crore nett mark. In its third week ‘Pushpa’ (Hindi) has raked in a total of Rs 67.29 crore till now. This entertainer got massive advantage of holidays like Christmas and New Year. According to boxofficeindia.com, ‘Pushpa’ (Hindi) collected Rs 2.50 crore on its third Tuesday.

‘Pushpa’ (Hindi) is doing very good business across the country, despite the restrictions in many states. The film’s maximum collection is coming from Maharashtra and Gujarat, which amounts to nearly 65-70per cent.

‘Pushpa’ is originally a Telugu-language action drama, which has been released in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi languages. Starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in the lead, this entertainer is written and directed by Sukumar. The film hit the screens on December 17 and a section of the audience had objected to a particular romantic sequence from the movie. The scene in question featured the lead actor touching his love interest’s chest in a public place. It raised eyebrows as the gesture was not liked by the audience. The ‘van scene’ or ‘tiffin scene’ faced a lot of flak from Allu Arjun’s fans and following the uproar, the makers decided to delete the controversial sequence.Apart from its popularity, this Allu Arjun starrer is also being loved for a special number by Samantha. The song is titled ‘Oo Solriya’ in Tamil and ‘Oo Antava’ in Telugu.
