What are your plans for the big day?
For Nin and me, we celebrate love every day and don’t really believe in making one day a little more special. But we will do something special even on that day I can assure you.
Tell us something about your love story with Nin. When and how did love blossom between you both?
We met at a bookstore at a book reading where I was a guest speaker and she was sitting in the audience. She sat on the front row and the moment I saw her, I was mesmerised, literally. What I fell in love with was her simplicity and the fact that she was not trying to grab any attention and in fact she was just being herself. There was something magical happening during the event – it’s like we were both placed there by a divine force to meet and fall in love. It didn’t take much time thereafter and I literally popped the question to her three weeks later!
How did you propose to her?
We were at a spiritual place when I asked her to marry me. The rest is history.
What is the one thing you love the most about your wife?
What I love about her is her kindness and her ability to love from her soul. I have never met someone as benevolent and as loving as her. For me, she is the epitome of beauty.
How would you describe the phase of fatherhood? Who is Nevaeh more like – Nin or you?
I am loving every day of being a father. Being a father teaches you so many things, especially patience and mindfulness. It also takes you back to an age of innocence, something that we have forgotten due to our conditioning over the years. Nevaeh looks like a cross between Nin and me, her sharp, observant nature is like Nin’s and her food habits are like mine. But jokes apart, she is like a divine soul to be around, just pure joy.
