Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar embark on their happily ever after as they leave from Khandala farmhouse – Times of India

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar had a dreamy wedding at the Akhtar’s lavish Khandala farmhouse on February 19. Ditching the usual ceremonies and rituals, the couple opted to exchange vows in the presence of close family and friends. On Sunday, the couple was snapped exiting the farmhouse with their family. Farhan’s daughters Shakya and Akira were snapped exiting with the filmmaker’s mother Honey Irani.

For the wedding, Shibani opted for a minimalistic look and decked up in a fishtail skirt and corset. She completed her look with slinky heels and a unique red veil. While Farhan made a dapper appearance in a tuxedo. Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar’s Khandala wedding was a low key affair and celebrities like Ritesh Sidhwani, Hrithik Roshan, Amrita Arora, Rhea Chakraborty and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra in attendance. Post the nuptials, Farhan and Shibani will reportedly register their marriage on February 21. The couple will also host a grand reception in Mumbai later this month.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar have been dating since four years now. All through lockdown too the couple stayed together. Speaking about her daughter-in-law, Honey Irani had previously told BT, “Shibani is a lovely child. She is so beautiful and is extremely respectful towards others. She mixes with the family very well. I meet Shibani every second day. They (Farhan and Shibani) just live next door. We also went on a holiday to Maldives together. Shibani and I talk on the phone almost every day. We also keep messaging each other. She’s just too sweet. I am even fond of her parents and her sisters who are also cultured. It was really nice meeting all of them.”
