NCB’s Sanjay Singh: Highly premature to say that there is no evidence against Aryan Khan – Times of India

Earlier today, reports suggested that according to key findings of the NCB’s Special Investigation Team (SIT), no evidence of Aryan Khan being a part of the Cordelia Cruises drug conspiracy was found. When ETimes reached out, a source close to the Narcotics Control Bureau‘s Mumbai team dismissed the reports saying, “We cannot say the action taken by the NCB was wrong as the matter is subjudice.”

The case is being probed by Delhi NCB’s SIT and NCB DDG Operations, Sanjay Singh has said that it would be wrong to say right now that no evidence has been found. Singh, who is heading Delhi NCB’s SIT says that the investigation of Aryan Khan drugs case is not over. “It is too early to say that no evidence has been found against Aryan Khan. It cannot be said yet whether it is a part of a big conspiracy or an international drug smuggling syndicate. Aryan has not been given a clean chit yet,” he said.

Dismissing reports suggesting no evidence against Aryan Khan was found, Singh added, It is highly premature to say that there is no evidence against Aryan Khan. Our investigation is still in progress and we have recorded multiple statements in this regard, but we have not reached any conclusion yet. As far as the media reports on non-availability of evidences against Aryan Khan are concerned, these are not true and are just speculations and nothing else. These statements were not cross checked with NCB before being published. Investigation is not yet completed and it is premature to say anything at this stage.”
