According to reports on boxofficeindia.com, the film that was released across 2900-3000 screens in the country today can look forward to doing business of over Rs 18-20 crore nett on day one if not going higher to Rs 25 – 30 crore nett.
The film that opened on the festive occasion of Holi, saw good growth in collections this morning. Going by the numbers, the film is off to a good start in Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore with shows running nearly houseful.
The Hindi sectors are expected to rake in the big bucks later in the day after Holi festivities are over. The film is expected to do well here, considering the response ‘The Kashmir Files’ has received over the past week.
The advance bookings for the film raised concern over the film’s collection as the numbers were ‘very low’, but it now looks like the film is aiming for a double-digit debut this Friday.
After months of a lull period, the Hindi film industry has high hopes for ‘Bachchhan Paandey’ given its appeal to a wide set of audiences.
