
Recently, the film landed in controversy after TMC spokesperson, Saket Gokhale alleged in an Instagram post that the film was passed by the CBFC without any cuts and that Vivek Agnihotri was a being a part of the Board. Reacting to the same, the filmmaker had Tweeted, “Please stop spreading fake news, like always. Take a little break. At least to respect the dead (sic).”
‘The Kashmir Files’ hit the screens on March 11 and is enjoying a phenomenal run at the box office. The film has earned a total collection of approximately Rs 160 crore nett till now. Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar in pivotal roles. ‘The Kashmir Files’ has also been earning a lot of praise on social media. The film narrates the heart wrenching story of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s.
