‘The Kashmir Files’ box office collection day 10: Vivek Agnihotri’s film collects a total of Rs 167 crore – Times of India


‘The Kashmir Files’ continued with its winning streak in the second weekend too! The film added Rs 71 crore nett to its total collection over the second weekend. With this whopping amount, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has recorded the third highest second weekend collection, after ‘Bahubali – The Conclusion’ (2017) and ‘Dangal’ (2016).

This Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri directorial has earned a phenomenal response in North India. Currently, the film stands at a total collection of Rs 167 crore nett, reports Boxofficeindia. In the coming days, the film is expected to beat the highest post pandemic grosser ‘Sooryavanshi’ too.

Recently, director Vivek Agnihotri clarified over the controversy about ‘The Kashmir Files’ showcasing fiction. He stated that his movice was based “entirely on facts”. He told PTI, “Some groups have been using Kashmir as a business. Our movie has tried to put an end to this. So, those who benefited from this are trying to create a controversy. But there cannot be any controversy over terrorism.We have tried to show that when militancy enters a community and is given ideological support from a part of the society, it leads to disaster.” ‘The Kashmir Files’ narrates the heart wrenching story of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990s. The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar in pivotal roles.
