‘The Kashmir Files’ box office collection day 13 early estimate: Vivek Agnihotri’s film earns a total collection of Rs 198 crore – Times of India


After enjoying a good 10 days at the box office, ‘The Kashmir Files’ is finally noticing a downward trend. But the film has already raked in much moolah and established its success status at the box office. After slight drop in collection on Tuesday, the film further registered a 20 per cent drop on Wednesday. According to Boxofficeindia, ‘The Kashmir Files’ earned in the range of Rs 8 crore on day 13 and stands at a total of Rs 198 crore. With this humongous figure, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has emerged as the highest grosser post the pandemic. The film is expected to cross 200 crore nett before the end of its second week.

‘The Kashmir Files’ has done historic business, but the 300 crore nett mark seems a tough feat now for the movie. The collection is expected to drop further, with a biggie like ‘RRR’ releasing on Friday. ‘The Kashmir Files’ may do good business in its third week, but may not be as damaging to other releases, as it was to ‘Bachchhan Paandey’.

Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, ‘The Kashmir Files’ released on March 11. The film narrates the story of the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s. ‘The Kashmir Files’ has stirred many emotions and has been loved by the audience pan India. However, a had pointed out that the film was showcasing fiction. Reacting to the controversy, director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri told PTI, “Some groups have been using Kashmir as a business. Our movie has tried to put an end to this. So, those who benefited from this are trying to create a controversy. But there cannot be any controversy over terrorism.We have tried to show that when militancy enters a community and is given ideological support from a part of the society, it leads to disaster.”
