Now Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has shared her views on the stupendous box office success of ‘The Kashmir Files’. According to the actress, she’s only looking at the numbers. Whatever the reason behind this success or how such a small film did wonders at the box office is not important.
Vivek’s film revolves around the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir Valley in the 90s, has earned polarised reviews from critics with many seeing it as a propaganda movie. It stars Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar, Puneet Issar, Mrinal Kulkarni, and others in key roles.
However, Taapsee says if a small film like ‘The Kashmir Files’ can rake in such huge numbers then you can’t just call it a bad film. According to her, there might be questions about the intention, the means and all that is being said but that’s a subjective view. Everyone has a right to have his/her own opinion. But at the end of the day numbers will speak.
She further added that a film can emotionally more people and help them relate to it but at the same time the actress insisted no film will be approved by a 100 percent audience. Also, Taapsee believes Vivek’s film has proved that producers now won’t have to be scared by how big their film is. If the film is good people will definitely watch it.
Meanwhile, Taapsee will next be seen in the upcoming biopic ‘Shabaash Mithu’, directed by Srijit Mukherji. She also has ‘Woh Ladki Hai Kahan’ and ‘Blurr’ in her kitty.
