While we wait for more details to come in, we got our hands on an old interview of Mahesh Bhatt where the filmmaker is seen talking about his soon-to-be son-in-law, Ranbir. Bhatt had told Hindustan Times that he loves Ranbir very much. According to the director, though Ranbir comes from a lineage of the Kapoor family, he has a unique charm and talent that’s his own. Bhatt added that Ranbir is original just like his daughter Alia.
When he was asked if he has ever given Alia relationship advice, Mahesh Bhatt stated that he doesn’t belong to that category of parents who’d advise their children about their personal choices. According to him, Alia is an adult and it’s a matter that she has to resolve. It’s their life, their space. The filmmaker added that he respects and admires them for choosing to talk to the world when, and if, they want to do so.
Ranbir and Alia will also be sharing the screen space in a film for the film time in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in key roles. It is slated to hit the theatres on September 9, 2022.
