While Priyanka is yet to introduce her daughter to her fans, she recently spilled the beans about being a new parent during her latest chat with Lilly Singh at a book launch event. Opening up about her thoughts on parenting and what kind of parent she wants to be, she said that she will never impose her desires, fears or upbringing to her daughter.
“I have always believed that children come through you not from you. There is no belief like this is my child and I will shape everything. They come through you to find and build their own life. Recognising that really helped me, my parents were very non-judgemental in a certain way,” she said.
Priyanka has been super private about her daughter ever since she welcomed her. In fact, she is yet to introduce her child to her family in India. Her mother Madhu Chopra who has not yet met her granddaughter due to health and COVID-19 concerns, recently shared with the media at an event that the baby is yet to be named.
Sharing her excitement about having a grandchild, she told ETimes, “I haven’t seen my granddaughter. I am here and she is in LA. We do Facetime once in a while. I think she is happy and joyous. This is all I can say for now. But maybe when I go and meet her in the middle of the year, I will be able to answer this better.”
“I am always hoping. Never say never. It’s her country, she could come,” she added about meeting the little one soon.
