‘Heropanti 2’, ‘Runway 34’ box office collection day one early estimate: Tiger Shroff manages to triumph over Ajay Devgn’s drama – Times of India

This Friday, two mega entertainers hit the screens, but seems like both the films have fallen flat at the box office. Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Heropanti 2’ and Ajay Devgn-Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Runway 34’ have struggled to make it big on its first day. According to early estimate, Boxofficeindia reports that ‘Heropanti 2’ will collect around Rs 7 crore nett while ‘Runway 34’ will pocket around Rs 3.25 crore nett. These figures will be one of the lowest opening day numbers for Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff. It remains to be seen whether ‘Heropanti 2’ and ‘Runway 34’ manage to cash in during the Eid holiday.

Interestingly, South biggie ‘KGF 2’ Hindi continued with its glorious run and has reportedly raked in 40 per cent more than ‘Heropanti 2’ and ‘Runway 34’ at national multiplexes. On its third Friday, ‘KGF 2’ Hindi earned around Rs 4-4.25 crore nett. ‘Heropanti 2’ had several bulk booking and has managed to perform well in mass belts. However, if ‘Heropanti 2’ and ‘Runway 34’ fail to sustain over the weekend and till Eid, then ‘KGF 2’ Hindi will get the holiday advantage. ‘Runway 34’ had good evening shoes so the film’s numbers are expected to grow slightly on Saturday.

‘Heropanti 2’ is directed by Ahmed Khan and stars Tara Sutaria essaying the leading lady opposite Tiger and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is seen playing the baddie. Directed by Ajay Devgn, ‘Runway 34’ features Ajay in the lead role alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Rakul Preet Singh and Angira Dhar.
