Anurag Basu is trying to develop a screenplay for Aamir and Ranbir. While the basic idea has been conceptualised by Aamir Khan Production, it’s Basu, who has come on board to weave a screenplay with the in-house team of actors. The movie is in a very nascent stage at the moment, in fact, the duo of AK and RK will decide on doing it only once they are absolutely satisfied with the final output, a report in Pinkvilla stated.
The film is reportedly high on VFX and hence an extremely risky proposition. The report also added that Aamir wants to have a visual blueprint of what the film would look like. If everything falls in the right place, the film will reportedly take off sometime next year.
While Anurag Basu has worked with Ranbir before in films like, ‘Barfi!’ and ‘Jagga Jasoos’, this is the first time he will be directing Aamir Khan. Ranbir has made a special cameo in Aamir Khan starrer ‘PK’.
Meanwhile, apart from this, Aamir is awaiting the release of his upcoming film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role. The film will hit the theatres on August 11, 2022. Apart from this, he is also reportedly going to be a part of a film which will be an official remake of the Spanish Film, ‘Campeons’, with RS Prasanna as the director.
Ranbir, on the other hand, has Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ co-starring his wife Alia Bhatt. The film will be released on September 9, 2022. Apart from this, he also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ and Luv Ranjan’s untitled next.
