Kriti Sanon shares her weightloss secret after ‘Mimi’; says she didn’t go to the gym – Times of India


Kriti Sanon has been going out of her way to prep for film roles. Whether taking up martial arts training or even packing on the pounds for her films, the actress has been doing it all.

The actress, who was last seen playing the role of a pregnant woman in ‘Mimi‘, finally revealed how she shed the excess weight, without even stepping foot in the gym.

While filming ‘Mimi’, Kriti essayed the role of a surrogate mother, for which she gained 15 kg of to appear authentic on screen.

After the film was wrapped, she had the arduous task of dropping kilos and managed to do so without the aid of a gym.

Spilling secrets about her weight loss journey, Kriti shared, “I began working out at home with the help of virtual trainers. I lost all the excess weight during the lockdown. When I was 15 kilos more than my usual bodyweight towards the end of Mimi’s schedule, I remember feeling unfit. When you feel so unfit, you understand the importance of fitness.”

To gain the extra kilos, the actress gorged on chips, chocolates, shakes and more, and shed all of it during the lockdown with virtual workouts.

On the work front, Kriti is shooting for the last leg of the scheduled shoot of ‘Ganapath‘ alongside Tiger Shroff. She will also be seen in ‘Adipurush‘ with Prabhas, ‘Bhediya‘ with Varun Dhawan and ‘Shehzada‘ with Kartik Aaryan.
