Court asks ED to reply to Jacqueline Fernandez’s plea for travel permissions – Times of India

Ever since the Enforcement Directorate unfolded the multi-crore money laundering case involving the conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been on the radar of the investigation agency. The actress has now filed an application in the Delhi Court seeking a 15-day exemption, seeking the release of her passport and permission to travel to Abu Dhabi to attend an award ceremony.

In the plea, she also stated that the ED had not named her as an accused in its chargesheet, but had seized her passport without citing any reason. The actress is being investigated by the ED in connection with the Rs. 200-crore extortion case involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Sessions judge Parveen Singh has issued a notice to ED and listed the matter for further hearing on May 18.

Apart from Jacqueline, Sukesh had also named other Bollywood celebs like Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty and Harman Baweja in his disclosure statement to the ED.

On the work front, Jacqueline recently starred in John Abraham‘s ‘Attack’. She will soon be seen sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus’. She also has Akshay Kumar’s ‘Ram Setu’ in her kitty.
