Punjabi singer-actor Sidhu Moose Wala has been shot dead on Sunday, in the Jawaharke village of Mansa district by unidentified assailants.
The misfortunate incident happened just a day after the withdrawal of the security cover. The security of Moose Wala along with 423 other VIPs was taken away yesterday, as a part of Bhagwant Mann government’s exercise to crack down on VIP culture.
Sidhu Moose Wala was a big name not just in the Punjabi entertainment world, but also in the political arena. He joined the Congress Party and contested the Punjab assembly election. He lost his election to AAP candidate Vijay Singla by a huge margin of 63,000 votes.
