Besides celebrities around the world picking between ‘team Depp’ and ‘team Heard’, Donald Trump Jr, son of former US President Donald Trump, shared his take on Twitter. Calling the actress ‘Amber Turd’, in reference to the trending social media tags, Trump Jr tweeted, “Maybe the most telling part of the Amber Turd trial is that not a single man seems to have come out in her defence saying she’s great.”

Trump Jr’s tweet was deemed ‘problematic’ by Twitter users who clapped back saying, “Right, because a woman’s word and the mountain of evidence she’s provided is worth nothing unless a man gives her credibility? Her ex-wife has nothing but good things to say about her. But I guess it doesn’t count since she’s not a man.”
Another added, “NO woman should seek or require the approval of ANY man. Women are great without men saying so.”
Yet another hit back at the businessman saying, “Just like no woman came out & defended your dad. They’re both horrible.”

Still curious why Elon Musk or James Franco did not support Ms. Heard in court. Speaks volumes. #TeamJohnnyDepp https://t.co/l4zpMqGMSQ

Last Friday, both Depp and Heard‘s teams presented their final closing arguments to the judge and jury, who then took a break for the Memorial Day weekend.
While a verdict is expected to be out later today, given that the jurors have six weeks’ worth of testimonies, and audio and video recordings, before making a decision, the announcement may arrive later this week.
Depp sued ex-wife Heard for $50 million and argued that she defamed him when she called herself “a public figure representing domestic abuse” in an opinion piece she wrote.
Heard countersued for $100 million, saying Depp smeared her reputation when his lawyer called her accusations a “hoax”.
