Sanjay Leela Bhansali has bagged a huge deal for his next venture ‘

The cast of this upcoming project is also said to be an ensemble one with several reports suggesting actors like Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Huma Qureshi and Richa Chadha will be seen in key roles. However, the search is still going on for the male actors.
‘Heeramandi will explore stories of courtesans during pre-independent India. The series that is said to be about love, betrayal and politics, is rumoured to be set in Bhansali’s larger-than-life sets, used for the film ‘
Gangubai Kathiawadi‘ which saw
Alia Bhatt in the lead. It was earlier reported that the OTT giant had agreed to shell out the big bucks just for the first season of the upcoming web series.
Meanwhile, 70s actress
Mumtaz has already turned down a lucrative offer to star in the highly anticipated web series. As per reports, Mumtaz was offered a pivotal role, which required her to perform an elaborate Mujra, but the actress declined saying that it would be difficult for her to dance at this age.
