Shaan pays tribute to KK; sings ‘Pal’ remembering the late singer at an event – watch video – Times of India


KK may have left for the heavenly abode last week, but his music lives on and continues to mesmerise millions of his fans across the globe. The brilliant singer and the gem of a person that he was, he left a mark on several of his contemporaries who mourned his demise. Singer Shaan who collaborated with KK on a number of songs like Koi Kahe and It’s The Time To Disco, among others remembered KK at a recent event and paid him a heartfelt tribute by opening the event with his iconic song ‘Pal’.

Sharing a video clip of his performance on Instagram, Shaan wrote, “Remembering Kakes. Don’t know why but that’s what I call him. Kakes”. Check out the video:

KK breathed his last on May 31 shortly after a concert at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata. The singer felt uneasy while on stage and was taken to his hotel room. After he collapsed at the hotel, he was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. He was given gun salute in Kolkata where Mamata Banerjee too paid her last respects. KK’ family brought his mortal remains back to Mumbai where he was cremated.

KK’s last musical project is said to be Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3, directed by Maneesh Sharma, which will release on Eid in 2023.
