Ranbir Kapoor REACTS to trolls calling wife Alia Bhatt’s pregnancy announcement ‘promotional stunt’ for ‘Brahmastra’: ‘We just wanted to share the joy’ – Times of India

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who tied the knot in April this year, are expecting their first child this year. In a recent interview, the actor addressed the trolls who called it a promotional strategy for ‘Brahmastra’.

Ranbir told a news portal that Alia and he, as a married couple, thought that it would just seem right to tell the world, because we felt it was the right time. According to him, they just wanted to share the joy and the news with the world and there was no other thought to it.

Further, he was asked if that compelled him to make a social media debut. Replying to the same, Ranbir added that it did not compel him at all and that he is happy at the place he is right now in his life. The actor also clarified that he has no plans to join social media. According to him, his stand is the same as it’s been in the last few years.

Ranbir is currently promoting his upcoming film, ‘Shamshera’ which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. Directed by Karan Malhotra, the period film is slated to hit the theatres on July 22, 2022.
