Sanya Malhotra would love to be in the remake of THIS 90s movie with Rajkummar Rao – Exclusive – Times of India

Sanya Malhotra has made it to the big screen with her latest release ‘Hit: The First Case’ alongside Rajkummar Rao. The film is a Hindi adaptation of the South film with the same title. Now since Bollywood nowadays has been giving us one after another remakes and sequels, we asked Sanya Malhorta which would be that one 90s movie remake in which she would like to work with Rajkummar Rao.

“‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’,” she said in a blink of an eye. However, soon she realized that this wasn’t the title of the film she was thinking about. So while talking to us exclusively, she said, “No, no, it’s that one, the one with Shahrukh Khan and Nisha.”

The actress kept trying to recall the right name, and even Rajkummar Rao was trying to help her out in the same. A few moments later she finally got her right answer and said,” ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’.” She had a sigh of relief after she was able to recall the name of the movie.

Meanwhile, besides ‘HIT’, Sanya Malhotra will be seen in another Bollywood remake of a South movie – ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’. The movie is scheduled to release in December 2022. Other projects that she has in the pipeline are – ‘Kathal’ and ‘Jawan’. The former is releasing in December this year, while the latter is scheduled to hit the big screens in 2023.
