Abhishek Bachchan buys ‘Oththa Seruppu Size 7’ remake rights, start shooting in Chennai – Times of India


For some time now Abhishek Bachchan’s name has been associated with the Hindi remake of ‘Oththa Seruppu Size 7’ and looks like the actor has already begun shooting for the same. According to a news portal, Junior Bachchan is producing the Hindi adaptation of Tamil thriller ‘Oththa Seruppu Size 7’ under his banner and started its shoot in Chennai recently. He is reportedly closely involved with the project, which is being directed by Parthiban, who had called the shots for the original film too. ‘Oththa Seruppu Size 7’ is a hit Tamil thriller whicih released in 2019, Abhishek Bachchan starrer remake will feature a slightly tweaked narrative to suit the pan-India audience.

‘Oththa Seruppu Size 7’ is written, directed, produced and headlined by Parthiban and it bagged two honours at the prestigious 67th National Film Awards in 2019. Abhishek will reportedly feature a distinct look for this movie and the makers are keeping all details closely guarded as no cell phones are allowed on the sets.

Apart from this, Abhishek Bachchan will also be seen in Tushar Jalota directed ‘Dasvi’. The film will see Bachchan essaying the role of an SSC fail politician and its narrative will highlight the importance of education in today’s society. ‘Dasvi’ features Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur in pivotal roles. Abhishek Bachchan has also wrapped up the shoot of ‘Bob Biswas’. The film is inspired from the popular character of Bob Biswas from Sujoy Ghosh directed ‘Kahaani’. This venture is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan with Sujoy’s daughter Diya calling the shots.
