
She wrote, “We live in the Ka Yug, it’s the time when humanity will be challenged and human values will be given ample opportunity to collapse. We need to come together, find love and compassion in our hearts and hold on to those human values we were taught as children. It’s the only way to live through these dark times. Previously, Rhea who is a strong supporter of feminism, had penned a note on Instagram urging global leaders to stand up for the women and minorities in Afghanistan as Taliban insurgents took over the country, including the capital city Kabul. Urging that patriarchy must be smashed, Rhea shared, “While women around the globe fight for pay parity, women in Afghanistan are being sold – They have become the pay. Heartbroken to see the condition of women and minorities in Afghanistan. Urge the global leaders to stand up for this! #smashthepatriachy. Women are human too.”
On the work front, Rhea will soon be seen on the big screen in Rumy Jafry’s upcoming ‘Chehre’. Releasing on August 27th, the thriller drama stars Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in the lead. Actress Krystal D’Souza will also be seen in a pivotal role.
