Neeraj Chopra made the country proud by winning gold at the Tokyo Olympics in a track-and-field event this year. He has become massively popular and has got everyone talking about him. Recently when Kiara Advani was asked about Neeraj’s epic win during a promotional interview, the actress had stated that Neeraj Chopra was not just a national crush but the world’s crush right now. While her ‘Sheshaah’ co-star Sidharth Malhotra said that Neeraj was the real ‘Shershaah’ who has made the country proud.

After Neeraj Chopra’s historic win, the athlete had said that if at all a Bollywood movie was made on him, Akshay Kumar should essay his role in the biopic. When ETimes asked Akshay about his thoughts on this, the actor quipped, “I think he is a very good looking and handsome man. If my biopic comes up, he should do it (laughs)”. Previously, after Neeraj Chopra’s win, Akshay had taken to social media to congratulate him and had penned, “It’s a GOLD Heartiest Congratulations @Neeraj_chopra1 on creating history. You’re responsible for a billion tears of joy! Well done #NeerajChopra! #Tokyo2020”.

Interestingly, after Neera Chopra’s victory, Akshay Kumar’s name started trending on social media with netizens asking him to do a biopic on the topic. Akshay was all smiles as he stated, “I think it’s very funny. I also saw that picture of mine where I am holding a stick. That still is from my film ‘Saugandh’ and it was really funny. My wife (Twinkle Khanna) also sent it to me, and I told her that I had seen it earlier (laughs)”.
