It all began when rumours were rife in the online communities that V is currently seeing the daughter of the business conglomerate, Paradise Group’s chairman Phillip Chun and Paradise Culture Foundation’s chairwoman Choi Yoon Jung.
Reportedly, V was recently spotted with Chun’s daughter after attending the opening exhibit for the ‘Korea International Art Fair’ 2021. Netizens also noticed V donning a bracelet from Phillip Chun’s label which further raised eyebrows.
Now according to KpopStars, V took to the fan community platform Weverse to address the dating rumours. Sharing a cryptic post, V wrote, “I will shoot poisoned needles at the back of their necks in my dream tonight. Watch the back of your necks”. Further slamming, he added in another post, “Pathetic. I would like to sing ‘UGH’.”
For the unversed, ‘UGH’ is frequently used in South Korea to display disappointment or anger. Interestingly, UGH is also the title of a popular song by BTS’s ‘MAP OF THE SOUL:7’ album.
Meanwhile, HYPE has also denied the dating rumours of V. In a statement, they clarified, “V and the family of chairman Choi Yoon Jung are only acquaintances, the dating rumors are not true.”
On the work front, the Bangtan Boys are currently gearing up for their first in-person concert in Los Angeles post COVID-19 pandemic. Titled ‘Permission To Dance’, the concert will take place on November 27, 28 and December 1,2.
