Nawab Malik shares picture from Sameer Wankhede’s first marriage, questions the NCB official’s caste certificate – Times of India

Nawab Malik, who is also a spokesperson for the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), had alleged that NCB’s zonal director Sameer Wankhede had used a ‘fake caste certificate’ for securing a government job. In support of his argument, the politician shared a picture from Sameer Wankhede’s first marriage and also his ‘Nikah Nama’.

Further, Nawab Malik clarified that his debate was not about religion but he wanted to expose Sameer Wankhede’s caste certificate which was allegedly obtained through fraudulent means. He tweeted, “I want to make it clear that the issue i am exposing of Sameer Dawood Wankhede is not about his religion. I want to bring to light the fraudulent means by which he has obtained a caste certificate to get an IRS job and has deprived a deserving Scheduled Caste person of his future.”

Previously, Nawab Malik had posted Sameer Wankhede’s birth certificate and marriage photo on social media. Reacting to the same, the NCB official had released a statement, “The publishing of my personal documents on Twitter is defamatory in nature and unnecessary invasion of my family privacy. It is intended to malign me, my family, my father and my late mother. The series of acts of Hon’ble Minister over the past few days have put me and my family under tremendous mental and emotional pressure. I am pained by the nature of personal, defamatory and slanderous attacks by Hon’ble any justification.”

Currently, Sameer Wankhede is being probed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), after allegations of bribe were leveled against him. He will be facing a five-member NCB vigilance team in Mumbai today after a witness accused him of asking for a bribe.
