Speaking to the media, Karnataka C.M. Basavaraj Bommai highlighted that Puneeth Rajkumar’s daughter, Vanditha, is expected to reach Delhi between 12 and 1 pm today and shall be brought to Bengaluru in an airplane specially arranged for her. In the same vein, the exact timings of the last rites (possibly post 6 pm) shall be decided based on the itinerary. Puneeth Rajkumar’s final rites shall be performed next to his father’s memorial, with full state honors.
The mortal remains were brought to the Kantheerava Stadium last evening for the general public to pay its respects. Considering the frenzy beforehand, the govt. had deployed over 6000 police personnel, 40 KSRP platoons along with city armed reserve and RAF who stood in the guard of the large stadium and the massive crowd. A procession shall begin around 3 pm tentatively today with the mortal remains from the stadium to reach the Kanteerava studio for the final rites.
C.M. Bommai, in the same media addressal, urged the public to continue maintaining decorum and refrain from any violence. He also stated that the authorities have planned everything so as to ensure that fans get to catch a final glimpse and also pay their humble respects to the beloved star.
