When Dhanush said Aishwaryaa is ‘100 times simpler than Rajinikanth’ – Times of India

Dhanush and Rajinikanth‘s daughter Aishwaryaa parted ways. They took to their social media handles to issue a statement that they are separating after 18 years of marriage. In a previous chat with TOI, the actor had revealed what attracted him to Aishwaryaa.

The ‘Atrangi Re’ actor was quizzed if the fact that Aishwaryaa was Rajinikanth’s daughter attracted him to her. He had replied, ”I don’t see her like that. I like her simplicity. If you think her father is simple, meet Aishwarya. She is 100 times simpler than her father.”

He further revealed that Aishwaryaa treats everybody as an equal and can be friends with anybody. He had also revealed that she bringing up his sons extremely well.

The ‘Maari’ actor wrote, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting… Today we stand at a place where our paths separate… Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better.

Dhanush and Aishwaryaa tied the knot on 18 November 2004. They have two sons named Yatra and Linga.
