The actress was finally spotted in character on the set of the upcoming series that has resumed production in the UK. Going by the first images and videos leaked from the sets, the actress was seen in a worn-out tee, jeans and an oversized coat walking on the busy city streets.

It’s still unclear who Clarke is playing in the new show, but speculations are rife that she could be playing SWORD’s Abigail Brand or the queen of the Skrulls Veranke. Fan theories suggest that she could play Brand, the half-alien and half mutant, with the ability to shoot blue flames from her hands. The character’s swagger and style have made her a favourite amongst fans.
Should Clarke take on the role of the Queen, her story is likely to follow Veranke’sexiled from the Skrull empire due to her religious beliefs. She, however, rises to the ranks of Empress and goes on to become the architect behind the Secret Invasion.
Clarke gained global recognition for her portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen on the hit series ‘Game of Thrones’.
She will also be joined by Oscar winner Olivia Coleman, Ben Mendelsohn and Kingsley Ben-Adir. According to reports, Mendelsohn will reprise his role of Skrull Talos, that he originally played in the Brie Larson-starrer ‘Captain Marvel’, while Ben-Adir plays the main villain.
The series will revolve around a group of shape-shifting aliens who have been infiltrating the Earth for years.
