Mukesh Khanna’s ‘Shaktimaan’ to be adapted for the big screen into a superhero trilogy – WATCH – Times of India


While there is still no word on Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Krrish 4’, another Indian superhero is getting ready for his big-screen appearance. ‘Shaktimaan‘ is set for his comeback, but this time, on the big screen.

Sony Pictures International Productions has acquired the film adaptation rights of the iconic Indian superhero. The upcoming project has been reimagined as a superhero trilogy for the big screen. However, there is still no news about which Indian actor will slip into the red and golden suit.

The makers also dropped the first teaser that sees the superhero rise to save the city from what appears to be an otherworldly being.

“As darkness and evil prevail over humanity, it is time for him to return.”

The teaser also gives us the first glimpse of Shaktimaan’s new and improved superhero suit.

Fans of the franchise can expect a big-ticket director to helm the production that will be set according to global standards.

‘Shaktimaan’, to date, remains one of the country’s most iconic superheroes.

Mukesh Khanna played the role of the iconic character in the television series that ruled the small screen for over a decade.
