Suniel Shetty remembers Bappi Lahiri; says, “He was an absolute legend and a great musician’ – Times of India

Veteran music composer and singer Bappi Lahiri passed away on Tuesday night at the age of 69. The news of his sudden demise was shared by PTI on Wednesday morning. His fans and colleagues from the industry were seen offering condolences to the bereaved family. Actor Suniel Shetty has also expressed grief over Bappi da‘s unfortunate demise.

The actor went on to call him an ‘absolute legend. Suniel shared, “Bappi Da was an absolute legend, a great musician but I think an even better human being. So loving, so affectionate, so respectful. God bless him. I think there are huge losses this year. Earlier, Lata Ji and now Bappi Da. Heartfelt condolences and strength because these legends can never be replaced. Rest in Peace Dada, Love You.”

On Wednesday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to mourn the demise of the Disco King. He shared a picture with Bappi Lahiri and wrote, “Shri Bappi Lahiri Ji’s music was all encompassing, beautifully expressing diverse emotions. People across generations could relate to his works. Dr. Deepak Namjoshi, who treated the legendary singer, said that he passed away due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea. He told PTI, “Lahiri had been admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. But his health deteriorated on Tuesday and his family called for a doctor to visit their home. He was brought to the hospital. He had multiple health issues. He died due to OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) shortly before midnight.”
