Will Jonathan Majors’ Kang The Conqueror appear in ‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’? Fans can’t ‘unsee’ this viral new pic – Times of India

Benedict Cumberbatch’s ‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness‘ just got more confusing for fans after an 8K shot of one of the characters went viral on Twitter.

The new clip doing the rounds online gives a closer and more detailed look at the mystery character who takes on Elizabeth Olsen‘s Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch in the trailer. What was initially believed to be Tom Cruise in the Ultimate Iron Man suit, is now rumoured to be one of the MCU’s biggest villains – Kang The Conqueror.

The supervillain was rumoured to appear in the third ‘Ant-Man’ film ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’. He was first teased in Tom Holland’s ‘Loki’ series that debuted last year.

In the series, Jonathan appeared as the character He Who Remains, a variant of the same character. In the series, He Who Remains warns Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his variant Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) that killing him would unleash an infinite number of variants of himself, creating a Multiverse of Madness.

He also warns them that while was just a keeper of the sacred timeline, one of his variants (Kang), was a force to be feared.

There were a whole lot of theories about the glowing figure who goes up against Wanda. Some people thought that the character could even be Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel or Maria Rambeau as her variant.

Doctor Strange is slated for a theatrical release on May 6.
