The latest relaunch of the 80-year-old comic book character is the best opening of 2022 and the second-best of the pandemic, though it’s more than $100 million short of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ still unbelievable $260 million opening weekend in December.
While this has given theatres a boot, it also means the end to the possibility of Robert starring in a porn film.

Pattinson told The Guardian in 2019 he would switch to ‘art house porn’ if ‘The Batman‘ somehow failed, despite all the hype and critical acclaim.
When discussing how he is his biggest critic and how he always expects the worst-case scenarios, he said his solution would be, “Porn. But art house porn,” if one of these scenarios were to play out.
‘The Batman’ began as Ben Affleck‘s solo vehicle for his version of the caped crusader, with the actor expected to direct the movie as well as star in it. But Affleck dropped out of the project and the film ended up with Matt Reeves taking over.
Reviews have been largely positive for this new iteration of the caped crusader. Director Matt Reeves and co-writer Peter Craig set ‘The Batman’ in Bruce Wayne’s second year of donning the cape.
Corruption is rampant in Gotham and some well-known villains are not yet fully formed, but there’s a serial killer afoot and Pattinson’s Batman and Gordon, played by Jeffrey Wright, are on a mission to find the mysterious Riddler played by Paul Dano.
