
In the video uploaded on his official YouTube channel, the director has explained how he started his film career from the streets of Pondy Bazaar in Chennai. He shared the story on how he moved to Chennai without his family’s approval or knowledge to enter into the movie industry. He also said that he had no place to stay or did not even have relatives or friends house where he could go. He further added that he did not have any money to pay the rent to stay in Chennai. The director explained that he stayed on the platforms as he was penniless.
The director said that his residence is in Adyar and his office is in Saligramam and he deliberately takes a specific route so he can see the platform in which he lived for a while. He even reportedly said that he would ask his driver to slow down and that it would take him back to those days which were thrilling.
SA Chandrashekhar stated that he lived on the platform for about 47 days and even today without anyone’s knowledge, he disguises himself two times every year and stays on the platform to remind of the tough days of his life which are memorable. He added that he does this so he can ensure that he stays humble and not let success get over his head.
