The film, based on the tragic incidents of the Kashmiri Pandit exodus in the 1990s and the subsequent genocide, released in theatres on March 11, and since then netizens have been showering love on it. Many are saying this is one such film that honestly uncovers a lot of untold stories buried deep inside the country’s history and at the same time makes people question the system.
Many are already calling it ‘the most hard-hitting film’ in recent times. Take a look at ‘The Kashmir Files’ Twitter review here:

‘The Kashmir Files’ had recently grabbed headlines after a PIL was filed seeking a stay order on the release of Vivek’s film. But, the Bombay High Court later dismissed the plea. Since its release the film, starring Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar and Pallavi Joshi among others in pivotal roles, is doing exceptionally well at the box office despite getting only 630 screens across the country on the first day.
While Vivek Agnihotri is being praised for his honest attempt it wasn’t an easy job to make such a serious film like ‘The Kashmir Files’. During a recent interview, the film’s producer Pallavi Joshi who also plays a key role in the film revealed that even they had to face a Fatwah which was issued against her and husband Vivek Agnihotri. It came on the last day of the shooting in Kashmir.
