Shraddha Kapoor or Kriti Sanon – who will play the role of Sati in Shekhar Kapur’s series based on Amish Tripathi’s ‘Immortals of Meluha’? – Times of India

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur is all set to helm a web series based on Amish Tripathi’s Shiva Trilogy, ‘The Immortals of Meluha’. After officially announcing the same in March, the director has now started the casting process.

According to a report in a news portal, the filmmaker has approached both Kriti Sanon and Shraddha Kapoor for the role of Sati in the series. Considering Sati plays a key role in Shiva’s journey, her casting is crucial to the series.

The report added that the makers have done elaborate meetings with both Kriti and Shraddha over the past two months. Both the actresses have also done look tests. Their shoot schedules will have to be considered while deciding since the web series demands a bulk of dates. But most importantly, Sati’s casting will depend on who plays Shiva. The hunt for the male lead is underway.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shraddha will next be seen in Luv Ranjan’s untitled next with Ranbir Kapoor. The film also features Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in key roles.

Kriti, on the other hand, has films like, ‘Ganapath: Part 1’ with Tiger Shroff, ‘Bhediya’ with Varun Dhawan and ‘Aadipurush’ co-starring Prabhas in her kitty.
