Ranveer shared that, his reason for his working with a diction coach was to make sure he does justice to his part. “Because the way Jayeshbhai speaks is typical to those who hail from heartland Gujarat. I had to speak exactly how their Hindi would sound like and it was a necessary and an important task.”
Expressing thanks to his director, Ranveer added, “I did a couple of more things, thanks to my director Divyang, who is also from Gujarat. He surrounded me with amazing artists from the Gujarati theatre and film world who have been cast in Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Divyang ensured that they were always around me on the sets so that I could constantly rehearse my scenes with them. This was an invaluable process for me to become Jayeshbhai,” added the actor.
Apart from Ranveer Singh, Jayeshbhai Jordaar also stars Shalini Pandey in a lead role. Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah and Deeksha Joshi also play pivotal roles in the film. Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film is all set to release on May 13.
