harsh varrdhan kapoor: Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor reveals he wants Rs 1 crore pre-owned car instead of Rs 3 crore model; Twitterati viciously troll him and suggest starting ‘crowdfund’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Anil Kapoor’s son, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor is no stranger to online trolling and this time around, it was his controversial remark that brought on the wrath of the Twitterati.
While out promoting his latest release ‘Thar‘, the actor tried to debunk various misconceptions the audience may have about him and his lifestyle as a celebrity kid. However, he seemed to have done just the opposite when he opened up about his “sad reality.”
The actor shared that he had been paying for all of his expenses and shared how it is tough to buy a Lamborghini while doing ‘arthouse films’.

Harsh Varrdhan said in a conversation with Mashable India, “I hate to break it to the audience, but the reality is that my parents have no interest in paying for my sh*t. So, I wish you all were right and I was wrong. I would have had ten times more than what I have but I buy my own stuff. It’s the sad reality of my life.”
He further added that he wants to buy a pre-owned Lamborghini that would cost him around Rs 1 crore instead of splurging Rs 3 crore on a newer model.

The internet, however, didn’t take his explanation too kindly and trolled him for his ‘tone-deaf’ statement. “I want to be sad like Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, s/o Anil Kapoor,” a Twitter user wrote.

Another tweeted, “Where can I subscribe to this type of gareebi?”
Still another shared a photo of the actor with his high-end sneaker collection and tweeted, “this dude has got sneakers collection worth crores.”
“but the real pain is that he doesn’t have Lambo to drive wearing all those shoes. I can feel his pain,” a twitter user commented.

One Twitter user even suggested crowdfunding Harsh’s new Rs 3 crore Lamborghini, in a post that read, “Can we all crowdfund his 3 crore worth new Lamborghini? Afterall, this would be what shall define our humanity and how our future shapes.”

However, there were a few who defended the star and said that Kapoor ‘acknowledged his privilege’ and made it obvious that he was joking.
“I’m no fanboy of this guy but if any sane person actually watches the video interview they’d know, how he said it.He was joking and acknowledged his privilege,” read a tweet.

“Ikr (I know right)!! He was sensible unlike what is being portrayed here,” said another.
