When Esha Deol SLAPPED Amrita Rao on the sets of a film: ‘I have no regrets, she totally deserved it’ – Times of India

Esha Deol and Amrita Rao worked together in 2006 film ‘Pyare Mohan’ co-starring Fardeen Khan and Vivek Oberoi. However, while they were shooting for the film in 2005, an ugly fight took place on the sets. The fight escalated quickly and Esha ended up slapping Amrita in the heat of the moment.

When Esha was asked to comment about the incident, the actress expressed that she has no regrets and Amrita deserved it. Esha said, “Yes. One day after pack-up, Amrita abused me in front of my director, Indra Kumar and my cameraman and I thought that was totally out of line.”

She further added, “To protect my self-respect and dignity, in the heat of the moment, I slapped her. I have no regrets because she totally deserved it for her behaviour towards me at that point in time. I just stood up for myself and my dignity.”

Esha also shared that Amrita apologised to her and she forgave her.

When the actress was asked if she looses her cool easily, she said that the issue was not about slapping anyone. Elaborating further, Esha said that it is not her nature to do something like that, unless she is instigated.

Meanwhile, back in 2005, both the actresses had worked in successful films. Esha was enjoying the success of ‘Dhoom’, ‘Kaal’ and ‘Dus’ while Amrita had worked in movies like ‘Ishq Vishk’, ‘Main Hoon Na’ and others.
