David Dhawan back home and feeling “better” after being hospitalised after a health scare – Times of India

A few days ago there were stray reports in the media that filmmaker-producer David Dhawan was hospitalised in Mumbai following complications from diabetes. It was also reported that his son Varun Dhawan had stopped his promotional activities for Jugjugg Jeeyo to attend to his father. Now that Varun was back to his promotional campaign with co-stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Kiara Advani, ETimes reached out to David to find out how he was feeling.

The senior filmmaker sent a short but assured reply providing an update on his health status. David said, “I am better.” Deciding that it would be best not to disturb him during his recovery, we reached out to his good friend producer Ratan Jain who provided us with a more detailed update. Jain said, ”

David Dhawan is better now. He is recuperating at home.” It has been speculated that complications from diabetes led to this health scare for the director. He has been hospitalised in the past for similar concerns.

A few days ago, Varun had shared a video with David, where the father-son duo was seen recreating the hook step from a song of Jugjugg Jeeyo. Varun had referred to the step as a ‘famstep’ keeping in line with the film’s family friendly story. We wish David Dhawan a speedy recovery and hope to see him matching more dance steps with his son.
