Here’s how Jacqueline Fernandez got in touch with conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar who was locked up in Tihar jail – Times of India

Jacqueline Fernandez has been in the eye of the storm since the time the Enforcement Directorate (ED) tagged the actress as a witness and a possible beneficiary in a money laundering racket allegedly run by Sukesh Chandrasekhar.

Pictures of Jacqueline with the conman also brought to light their alleged love affair. The duo’s love story began in January 2021 when Chandrasekhar allegedly started calling and messaging Fernandez from inside Tihar Jail. While Fernandez did not respond at first, Chandrasekhar apparently approached her through her hairdresser, introducing himself as the owner of a TV network and jeweler and as someone close to Home Minister Amit Shah. This is when the two started talking, sources in the ED told ThePrint.

Further the report added that the actress told ED during her questioning that she was not even aware that Chandrasekhar was calling her from inside the jail, and that she often wondered why he avoided meeting her at occasions. However, Chandrasekhar was reportedly in constant touch with Fernandez through video calls that he made from the office space that he had created inside Tihar jail.

Talking about the same, Chandrasekhar’s lawyer Anant Malik told the news portal that although they had an affair that was short-lived, Jacqueline never visited him in jail. He revealed that they met only twice and were in touch for about seven months. He also added that it is a long enough period to know the whereabouts of a person.

According to him, a simple Google search would reveal who Sukesh is. Moreover, his wife Leena is part of the industry and has acted in ‘Madras Café’. Sukesh was based in Mumbai at one point and was arrested there also. So who Sukesh is, is clear, and it is impossible that Jacqueline was unaware of his involvements or whereabouts, the lawyer concluded.
