Director Lingusamy who is popular for directing several commercial hits has been sentenced to 6 months imprisonment by the Saidapet court. A case has been filed against the director Lingusamy by a production company PVP Capital as the director did not repay the money he had bought from the production house. Director Lingusamy has reportedly surrendered a cheque quoting the loan money to the production house. But the director hasn’t paid the loan money and the cheque surrendered by him has bounced.

The case came to a hearing today at the Saidapet session court, and the judge, who heard the case, has ordered 6 months’ imprisonment for Lingusamy and his brother Subash Chandra. However, Lingusamy has decided to re-appeal over the verdict given by Saidapet Court at the Madras High Court.

Director Lingusamy last delivered the Tamil-Telugu bilingual ‘The Warriorr’ starring Ram Pothineni and Kirthi Shetty in lead roles, and the film failed to meet the expectation. Earlier Lingusamy had announced a bilingual drama with Allu Arjun, but the film didn’t proceed further after the initial launch.
