Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah have reason to celebrate with director Anubhuti Kashyap and the makers of Doctor G, as the film continues to show an upward trend at the box office. This unique medical campus comedy-drama has managed to entertain the audience and has successfully earned 5.22 crores, on the second day. The film’s net collections, from across the nation and add up to a healthy 9.09 crores thus far.
After an encouraging opening day collection of 3.87 crores, Doctor G is seeing tremendous growth on the second day as well. Those on the know have expressed that the film’s performance bodes well for other mid-budget movies to follow as well. But like Doctor G, they must have the right combination of a smart budget and good content.
Trade pundits are now predicting that the Sunday collections for Ayushmann Khurrana’s film could be even better than Saturday’s figures. Written by Sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat, Vishal Wagh and Anubhuti Kashyap Doctor G released in theatres on Friday. The film’s producers, Junglee Pictures’ upcoming slate also includes ‘Woh Ladaki Hai Kahan?’, ‘Dosa King’, ‘Ulajh’ and ‘Click Shankar’ to name a few.
