‘The Crown’ Season 5 trailer: Showcases the struggles of Princess Diana and the Royal family in crisis – Times of India

The makers of ‘The Crown’ have dropped the trailer of season 5 of the show. The upcoming season primarily focuses on Princess Diana and Prince (now King) Charles’ marriage. Set in the 1990s, when the Royals were determined to portray the ‘united family’ image, Diana and Charles’ marriage was falling apart.

The trailer also showcased that the season will tell the story of when Princess Diana struggled and had to deal with the difficulties of being a royal. In the 2 minutes 30 seconds trailer, we see Prince Phillip telling Princess Diana that she should follow the system because it’s a tradition. It also gave glimpses of interviews that Diana appeared in which she talked about mental health issues and the affair of Prince Charles. Watch the trailer here:

Meanwhile, the fifth season of the show features Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Jonathan Pryce as The Duke of Edinburgh, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, and Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles.

The web series will start streaming on November 9.
